Who we are

These days folks are divided and constantly distracted by the recreational outrage industry, also known as social media, which keeps them online and more often than not, angry. This project is a grassroots initiative that started after members of our North Central Washington communities had an idea: "What if we focus on all the good people do for one another?"

According to the Mayo Clinic, "Kindness has been shown to increase self-esteem, empathy and compassion, and improve mood. It can decrease blood pressure and cortisol, a stress hormone, which directly impacts stress levels. People who give of themselves in a balanced way also tend to be healthier and live longer."

We want to provide a platform to celebrate and lift up acts of kindness, those who perform them and remind everyone, including ourselves, why they matter. Something as simple as holding a door, offering to return someone's grocery cart at the store or shoveling the snow from a neighbor's walk can make a big impact in others' lives, and in our own.

We want to collect 2023 individual stories of kindness in 2023 and showcase kindness in our region through media partners and online this year. Join the movement, and share your stories of kindness this year!
